We are here today because of my husband, and the work ethic and drive he instilled in our Roetzel Family. For 40 years, my husband Steve Roetzel - brought joy, adventure and love to our family and friends. Of that time, 30 of those years, he dedicated himself to the global McDonald's Brand. Steve demonstrated passion, dedication and commitment in making every pillar of that brand the best version of itself.
But, change was near! Steve took a giant leap in the decade that followed. With his determination of paying it forward, Steve wanted to make an impact behind the counter. He moved from the corporate side of the company, to the franchisee. He rotated his focus from strategizing the McDonald's Brand to living it! Steve created a legacy for our family, one that will be passed down from us to our children and even our grand/great-grand children.
Still with a heavy heart - I share with you that my sweet husband, Steve lost his fight against cancer, in 2014. Our family was devastated. But, with unwavering determination we picked up the pieces, and worked together to carry on Steve's legacy.
From our crew and management, to our daughter/Jenny, our son/Ryan, and both of their spouses - we work together to honor Steve's memory and celebrate his life, by continuing to serve our guests with good food, provide jobs to our community and show our support in local charities.
Being a McDonald’s Owner Operator has its advantages – from the training, and the support of a solid organization, to the opportunity of being a business owner in a thriving community like ours. The McDonald's Corporation provides us with tools to to help support our business on a local and national level. They help us with training, advertising, marketing, equipment and supply chain. Together we support a collaborative business environment.
But, as an owner operator - we own our own business, we are responsible for our own success and operate as an individual organization.
